Need to know more about our bikes or the rental process?

We’ve compiled a list of frequently asked questions below to help you get started. If you can’t find the answer you’re looking for, feel free to email us or give us a call – we’re happy to chat!

Are the bikes easy to operate?

As easy as, well, riding a bike!
Easy Peasy! You hop on, turn the power on, start pedalling. Adjust the amount of assistance you need by selecting the plus or minus on the handlebar controls. When you want to stop, squeeze the brake like you would on a normal bike. In accordance with UK law, bikes go no faster than 15mph. However, that is pretty fast which is why we supply you with a helmet and ask that you agree to wear it.

Can anyone ride the bikes?

Age 14+ (under supervision)
You must be over 18 to hire a bike and aged 14+ to be the rider. If you are under 18 you must only ride under parental/guardian supervision.
Passengers must be aged 8+ and everyone on the bike must wear a helmet.

Is the passenger seat safe?

Two is company

The RAD Power Bike has a specifically designed passenger seat that means your friends family can travel safely. They have their own foot rests and a handle to hold on to.  We also supply a helmet for your passenger.  They are not safe for those under the age of 8

What happens if I run out of charge?

72km on a single charge

The handlebar control has a charge indicator on it so you know when you are coming to the end of the charge but with range of 72km on a single charge you could get around the island 5 times!  If you are hiring for longer than a day, we will provide you with an electric charger that plugs into a normal plug socket. It takes approx. 7 hours to charge from flat.

Where can I go?

Explore the island
Anywhere you like on the island – why not take a look at our suggested routes?  You can go further afield but only by prior arrangement – just drop us a line or give us a call before booking.
